Lisa Lewis heads Office of Grant Management
at Office of National Coordinator (ONC) for Health IT
August 13, 2010 tweet from ONC indicated organizational change with new Office of Grants Management. Per ONC site, new Office will be directed by Lisa Lewis, who will report to Deputy National Coordinator for Operations Elizabeth Handley. Lewis had headed budget division of FEMA, if it’s the same Lisa Lewis.

Per ONC’s description of organization, “The Office of Grants Management is responsible for carrying out full lifecycle grants management functions and providing procedural and technical business support to ONC grant award recipients and program managers.  The office is charged with awarding and managing ONC’s portfolio of grant programs.  Through the execution of the grants lifecycle, the office ensures that federal grant funds are properly awarded and are managed effectively to ensure good stewardship of taxpayer dollars.”

Also per announcement in Federal Register on August 13, 2010, official name of office headed by ONC Health Economics expert, Melinda Beeuwkes Buntin, has been corrected to Office of Economic Analysis and and Modeling from Office of Economic Modeling and Analysis. The corrected version appears to be the version that ONC has been using.
